My question is: I'd really like to get an honest feel for the reliability of the V-Star motor and the bike overall. One of the bikes I'm looking at is a Silverado. I really like the bikes looks, but I've heard some ugly war stories of people having problems with noisey lifters, and problems with the starter working lose, and bending the bolts, etc. This concerns me enough to come ask in a place where there are hopefully enough owners to really give me a good feel for just how serious these problems are. I don't want to buy into a problem. I've also noticed that sales of this bike have slowed in the past year. Possibly due to the persistant problems?
