Yesterday the van was driven by my family to PA from NY, total round trip was about miles. This morning when i drove the van, the check engine light and the trac off light were both on. The engine is a bit louder and rougher. Also the biggest concern is that the van jerks pretty hard from 1st to 2nd gear. The gears do not shift smoothly at all. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions. Ignore it, and it might cost you a ton later. Toyota could rightfully consider that to be neglect and might not cover something that breaks like your transmission! Many auto parts stores in NY Advance, Autozone, etc. But maybe not if you keep on driving! Ive had it parked in my driveway.

The car felt like it was in 4 wheel drive. I read around and found two things that I had to do to get the car fixed. It has to click at least once. Make sure there is no gunk around the gas nozzle as well so that the cap and nozzle get a tight seal. I let them be disconnected for 10 minutes. I returned connected the battery and both warning lights were now off and car was back to normal other than having to reset clocks, radio, etc. Note: I did notice that the car at first did not idle as it did beforehand. It took a few minutes of me driving around the neighborhood and then the idling returned to normal.

Rodents love that stuff. The hi test would perk up the bad gas and run it through cleaner? But if it's not lighting up again, I wouldn't worry about it. I was driving today, and suddenly a Check Engine and Track Off lights blinked like 5 times. Turns out the wiring to my knock sensor was chewed up by rodents. Anything else is just a guess. Nothing has worked. The trac control sensors on each wheel can give a false reading to the engine after a medium skid, rough terrain event, etc. The next one is money in your pocket. Something I left out, once I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and then reset the ts and cg terminals, restarted the van the check engine trac off lights went off. The Check Engine light, on the other hand, may indicate a problem with the engine control system.
