Of course this is my opinion and I'm not a professional, and it only reflects my preferences, yada yada, so no more caveats. I'm posting this just to share an insight I had on the road today. Would love to hear your opinions, if you have any. I have owned three Gold Wings Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions. The Ks are more agile, but less stable in turns and much less stable on the interstate behind semis. They Wing shines in the latter, but not so much in the former. Much depends on your riding style and where you like to ride. If I was to ride the interstates all day, I would choose a Wing.

The BMW was the smoothest, fastest, comfiest, highest-tech two-wheeled vehicle out there that sports saddlebags and a windshield. Now it has. A place where it does not suck, and where the Calistoga Half-Mile provided us a near-perfect excuse to explore the area. Honda says the old F6B weighs pounds; this new one tips the MO scales at , both of them all gassed up the new Wing holds 1. Specs say the new Wing is 0. The new double-wishbone front suspension allowed rider and engine to be moved forward on the bike — more over the front wheel and more master of the ship. I think the DCT works better as the engine warms up, or is that just me? Alternatively , it might just be your human software acclimating to the DCT? I love it.

The BMW inline six and the Honda flat-six both have more torque than needed for such lazy bikes, accessed through beautifully smooth throttles, and we both found them extremely difficult to fault. Somehow the K16 is just a fun bike to get on every time, moreso than anything else I own or have owned and I have two M cars and a Porsche As for the Harley, well if you like noise, heat on your leg, shaking mirrors, quality control issues, antiquated technology, shop down time ……. Very nice when using heated gear and two up. The front end feel. It has scarily tremendous pace in any road situation, the brakes are outstanding for such a big bike. Seriously thinking of going with the Honda for one big reason. Northeast U. Most of my riding buddies in 15 years I met in MOA. We have taken advanced and expert rider courses two-up and revel in the twisty roads! It was a brutally tough decision to pick between the new Wing or the BMW but the bottom line is they are both fantastic bikes, so its a win win either way. The BMW has been ridden less than an hr in 2 yrs. They will easily outperform my Wing.

Indian Roadmaster vs. The only problem with the bike is the speed. A lot will depend on the dealer, of course, so comparing costs should be done in. At first I didn't think this would bother me much, but that is not the case now. Never rode a Gold Wing so nothing constructive to add to the discussion however I too own a blue GT; it's just like yours only prettier. So, we added a Russell seat and have ridden it another 20, miles since then, but I am getting the urge for something newer as I approach 90, miles and 13 years of age. The K is a racehorse over the Wing and steer is tops with the in-line 6 is very pleasing to my ears. I change my on oil and filters. Words cannot describe the exhilaration felt in the saddle of the BMW. But its rider and passenger footpegs are close together, so passengers need to avoid toeing the rider in the calves, and while the Honda passenger feels more wind its low pillion is easier for passengers to mount and dismount.
