We caught up with Spook Records and PIRANIA to give you some more background about his work, his take on hardcore, local music scene, and share his top records and other bands worth a check. Asked about the origins of his project, PIRANIA says that the project was the outcome of the urge to record the material that had been made for several years. To me, the material was definitely good enough to be recorded so I decided to do it entirely on my own as a Pirania solo project. Many great records have been written in Polish and it always works when you sing in your mother tongue — with the right charisma you can always move the crowd, make them sing along and create a great atmosphere. I observed that playing with Schizma — songs in Polish seemed to make everybody go crazy, mosh, get on stage and sing-along. It might ruin the creative process and end up in a fiasco.
