Alfheim legendary chest

If you're looking for the last Legendary Chest in The Barrens of Alfheim, it might be in the cave located in the southern section of the area.

It is the first main realm other than Midgard that you can explore in the game, and part of your main Journey. The realm of Alfheim can be explored after your journey to the mountain stops short and you are given the travel rune. The realm of the elves is home to an endless war over control of the Light of Alfheim, located amid a lush area and giant lake that circles the Ringed Temple. Alfheim legendary chest

This time around, Alfheim is a little different, and is feeling the effects of Fimbulwinter in its own unique way. This makes posting guides — and screenshots — a bit tricky. The Strond is the entrance to Alfheim, and will take you up to the Temple of Light. From the Mystic Gateway, walk up the left path until you reach a crack in the wall that you need to squeeze through. After squeezing through the rock crack we mentioned above, drop down immediately to your left. Turn around and light it up. Walk forward past the Nornir Chest until you hit the wall. Look over the left edge of the cliff to find the second brazier. Burn it. The third brazier is a bit of a journey although you can activate it from below if you have Hex arrows already. Climb back up to where you were before you dropped down for the Nornir Chest. Move forward, climbing the wall and then grappling. When you reach the landing with the circle on the ground, turn left and drop off the ledge. After the Nornir Chest, climb back up and proceed along the path. Drop down from the higher area with the circle on the ground and inch forward.

The Legendary Chest in The Strond is found just after you first use Twilight Stone to destroy a wooden door from behind and fight some Wretches. Standing in the doorway facing the way forward, you should see a ledge just ahead that you can drop down. Do so, head left, then destroy the debris blocking the way, then kill the two Wretches who show up. In the room beyond the doorway will be the Legendary Chest, sitting next to an Artifact.

Like the chests of the norns in the region and like those of the kingdom of Svartalfheim, a small backtracking session will be necessary if you plan to clean everything from top to bottom. Arriving very close to the Alfheim temple, you will have to kill some calamities after the door to be unlocked with the moonstone. Simply drop down by relying on the white markers on the ledge then go left to pick up this very first Alfheim Legendary Chest. As you ascend the temple, you will come across the glowing ledge indicated by the first image below. Go down into this hole, eliminate the calamities and search the corner a bit to find a crow, an acquaintance and the famous legendary chest. When you need to move a mechanism to change the level of a moonstone, open the door on the right for a small puzzle leading to a new legendary chest. First of all direct the moonstone so that your ax goes to sink into the wall opposite. Then let go of your grip to raise the chain and then take your ax which will break the seal holding the chest in return. Still further in the temple, you will find yourself in a room containing surfaces on which Kratos can cling. Head to the small platform on the left: you will see that you can make a pendulum with the moonstone thanks to the blades.

Dig it up to complete the Forgotten Tower. Bring it down with your ax. To do that, set up two Hex Bubbles with Sigil Arrows: one on the stone itself, and another on the wall to the left. Standing in the doorway facing the way forward, you should see a ledge just ahead that you can drop down. Once the coast is clear, walk right and down the stairs. The big thing to remember when facing Olrun is to always move to your right and be ready to dodge in the same direction in order to avoid her dashing red stab. To start, hang down off the first ledge and then grapple across to the first plate on your left. Pick it up to get one of The Lost Pages. After the Nornir Chest, climb back up and proceed along the path. Just remember to block her wing swing attack, then be ready to dodge to the right to avoid the unblockable follow-up stab. It should rebound to the right Twilight Stone, then off of that into the three Nest Vines! Cross the root bridge and look down to the left to spot the roots blocking your path and a door below. There are 4 Lore Locations in the realm of Alfheim, although only 2 of them count as Lore Markers for the summary. The Legendary Chest is now yours!

If you're looking for the last Legendary Chest in The Barrens of Alfheim, it might be in the cave located in the southern section of the area. You'll know it's the right cave if you can see red nodes from the Dark Elf hive matter glowing inside.

Jump down and defeat the enemies that pour out of the Hel Tear while your ally defends it, as usual. The gear inside is the Rond of Affliction, which causes an elemental explosion when a Status-Afflicted enemy is hit by a Shield Strike done by double-tapping L1 by default. In the room beyond the doorway will be the Legendary Chest, sitting next to an Artifact. From the balcony over the water, head right to find the path blocked by two roots you can cleave apart. The Nornir Chest is just to the right of the rock you had to lift up in order to reach this area. The purple line should light up blue. If she dashes around at range to the side, she'll either follow up with an inward dash or a different spinning attack that shoots several projectiles at you. Squeeze through the gap in the wall that we mention in the Legendary Chest entry above. When you reach the rock face that you can climb up, look under the circle carved into the wall. The Legendary Chest will be here.
