Allahümmağfirli

Sahih International [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed — and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving —. Abul Ala Maududi Who created death and life that He might try you as allahümmağfirli which of you is better in deed. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving;, allahümmağfirli. The addition, waafini asks Allah to Strengthen me or grant me well being. There is also a variation of the Rabbighfirli dua which asks Allah to forgive our parents, ourselves, and the entire Ummah.
