Ambergris is one of the resources that was introduced when Ambergris ark Part 1 came outhaving its biome and specific uses.
Ambergris is defined as being whale snot by HLN-A in Ark: Survival Evolved, but in the game, it is a vital resource when raising baby Magmasaurs as well as being required to build the bombs used on the Astrocetus once tamed. Ambergris is found on two different maps and can be mined in a variety of ways, with either tools or different Dinosaurs. This map has five distinct biomes which can be teleported to by interacting with HLN-A. To obtain Ambergris, you need to enter the Lunar biome first. The Ambergris is found in the larger and spiker of the green glowing rocks in the biome. To harvest the rocks, you can use a pick or you can use the mining drill. The mining drill is more expensive, but the return on resources is much higher.

On Genesis: Part 1 , Ambergris can be obtained by killing Astrocetus , as well as by mining green-lined rocks in the lunar biome. On Genesis: Part 2 , it can be obtained by mining rocks in Space when the ringed asteroid is available signified by white supply crates. On Fjordur , Ambergris nodes can be found alongside the lava trench at the bottom of the Abyssal Depths cave, indicated by rocks that have visible Ambergris in them. This article is about Magmasaur, not to be confused with Managarmr. The Magmasaur is a fire-based creature that gains strength and charges up attacks through heat. It has an affinity for lava to the point of even swimming in it, and dislikes water. The Magmasaur has a heat-resistant Saddle that protects the survivor from heat, fire, and lava. The Magmasaur will consume many different materials, including gasoline, stone, raw and cooked meats, organic polymer, and ambergris. Cold temperatures will negatively affect the charge time of Magmasaur searing spit attacks and both swimming and being in water or lava that is too deep will disable searing spit attacks. The Magmasaur has the appearance resembling a bearded dragon. Having a similar head and body shape it also kind of looks like a rocky molten version of a rock drake. It can be found in and around any source of lava in the volcano biome. They can also be found in very large numbers around their egg spawns inside the volcano.
