Prime location looks fabulous, the Anglers Tavern stands imperiously alongside the mighty Maribyrnong river and covers a vast area. Downstairs, all new and modern with glistening polished timber aplenty, has two main areas- bistro and TAB no pokies with a wonderful bar servicing both areas. Grab a seat alongside the window when dining and enjoy the serenity of the river. The pub triumphs at the rear with its massive and new beer garden and maximises the views. Plenty of space, smart and comfortable, the time spent there will evaporate. On weekends the pub really goes into overdrive attracting people from near and far. Pricing is about right. Beer runs a familiar line of Carlton products but in an area so large, the draught from the tap 5. The resurgent late Summer that Melbourne is enjoying gives that extra reason to go to a pub and enjoy the rays before the chill kicks in. And while the Maribyrnong may lack the cachet that views of the Bay may offer, it is extremely pleasant to go and enjoy that moment by the water with friends whilst relaxing and sharing good times over a drink and meal.

April 9, The out door area along the river is superb for summer. Love that kids eat free on a Friday night with every main meal purchased! Nice place. Had a great lunch at The Anglers today! Not too expensive. The atmosphere and location are nice, but the food I find to be mediocre. Good place to have a drink in the beer garden. Tried to book a table for 2 by phone for lunch to celebrate a birthday but was told to just show up. Indoor seating doesn't feel cramped either. Prices are reasonable. Large pub meals. The food is better than your average pub food too and there is even Little Creatures and Stone and Wood on tap. Great spot for a beer and eats, large servings and nice spot by the river.

The downside of it is that it can get really noisy and crowded inside and outside the restaurant. All the staff we dealt with tonight 11 September were great. Views of river,easy parking. Pubs Bars Nightclubs List All. Staff were amazing and very helpful with everything. Great place to dig into some food whilst watching the footy. All 25 people enjoyed their food. Wait staff did a good job dodging a few stray kids serving and keeping tables clean well done. It been a while since my last visit and i was impressed. Great pub on the river. I ordered our meals which we shared a platter of calamari and Asian style spring rolls, money bags, vegetarian samosas.
