The Arbor A-Frame came back with some tweaks in that change the overall personality compared to the old A-Frame we knew. The A-Frame is a big-mountain missile! This weapon of freeride destruction is designed specifically for charging gnarly terrain. The stiff flex, bamboo sidewalls and carbon reinforcement create a stable and reactive platform for pointing down steep terrain in sketchy conditions. The long drawn-out entry and exit radii of the sidecut make long high speed carves stable while the tighter inner radius gives control in steep riskier terrain where tighter carves are essential. A big-mountain gun for riders who want superior on-edge performance; the A-frame will lock-and-hold a deeply carved line, provide powerful control in the steeps, and deliver amazing stability at speed. Jumps: There is a lot of spring in this board so if you want to ollie off a roller at high speed or a cliff it will spring well.

Arbor launched its brand in They started as a snowboard company and added skateboards a few years later. The A-Frame is a true directional board designed for all-mountain riding. The new shape has a big nose with a knucklehead tip and a little bit of taper. Arbor manufactured these boards with RWD Carbon A-Frame reinforcements running diagonally from the front and rear contact points to the inserts, making turn initiation a breeze and providing torsional stability. This quickly became one of my favorite boards to ride and handles exceptionally well in the deepest of powder and on groomers.

If backcountry riding to you means feeling your heartbeat in your ears as you hit Mach 3, then something like the A-Frame would make the ideal platform. This is built for speed and stability, with a saltire of carbon rods strengthening and stiffening the already formidable poplar and paulownia core. Those who prefer to take your time down powder fields, buttering on open spaces and nipping in and out of trees should perhaps look at other options in the Arbor line.

First I did not really like the wood look of the top sheet but for me the riding features were more important than a perfekt look. I feel I am improving and connecting with it more at every run. With the new tip and tail their might be a slight improvement in the deep stuff giving it a little more of a mostly hybrid camber feel. Basically you are getting this board to carve or straight line but if you are in places that require shorter radius turns it will be easier to manage than you might expect due to its deep side cut and narrow waist. As you improve, tackling trails with more speed, venturing off-piste into powder snow and hitting jumps the Poparazzi will meet your demand all the way.
