Review by: Michael Stern. It is an airy two-room eatery with overhead spinning fans, booths upholstered in squishy pink and aqua, and tables covered with boomerang-pattern Formica. They say Elvis ate here, and your waitress will be happy to point to the booth where he sat. But it was nine AM and we were more in the mood for country ham … which is a good mood to be in if you come to The Arcade, because its country ham is excellent. Another good choice from the breakfast menu is a stack of sweet potato pancakes.

Daily lunch specials served Monday- Friday 11am-2pm. Breakfast served all day everyday open 7am-3pm. We serve breakfast all day. Patterson, the original building was a small, one story, wood framed building. Food was actualy cooked on potbelly stoves! He made the cafe into the hip, fifties diner you see today. The boomerang table top designs, now faded and worn around the edges due to thousands of coffee cups, plates, and elbows rubbed across the surface, the spectacular neon signage, and original storefronts have all stood the test of time.
