I have seen them in videos before, but I have never understood the purpose of them. Are you suppose to use skills and procs at the end of the swing or in between?

This addon displays a progress bar for your on and off hand attacks, your ranged weapons, and your enemies attacks and a few other things i. This lets you see exactly when you will attack again. This is because the animation for damage usualy comes after the damage is calculated in and therefore reported in the combat log. There is no easy way around this. I know this overlaps with Quartz some, but Quartz does a lot of other stuff to, and I think this is effective at cutting down bloat. Anyway, I dont know if quartz has an enemy swing timer.

Version 4. If you're a hunter, it tracks Auto Shot timing and castable shots cast time. If you use a wand, it also tracks when your shots will go off. It resets on abilities that would reset a swing timer, such as Warrior's Slam, and also takes parry haste into account. Both frames can be moved around with the typical click-and-drag. While the bar is white, the player can move and cast freely without clipping their next Auto Shot or Shoot. When the white bar is depleted, the player should stand still while their Auto Shot or Shoot is 'casting'.
