Any experience of laying their flooring? A friend of mine had a bad experience with it. The wood didn't scratch but the top layer of varnish is scratched to bits. It looks like someone went over the whole thing with a large scouring pad. Its just had normal living room traffic. We bought our house last year, and I think the former owners had put it in sometime within the last six years. Now they did have three young boys and a big dog, but the flooring finish was scratched beyond belief and, in some places, the finish had worn down to the actual wood. While I could have coped with that, it was the sheer number of minor scratches that rendered the whole floor murky and dun. Again, no matter what I did, I simply could not clean even the least damaged boards to a reasonable finish -- and I tried every trick in the book. Also when we pulled it up, our joiner told us that to lay it without gluing it down, you need to staple-nail it through the tongue and groove. So maybe I'll look around then
