The bread was light with just enough bite, and a slightly sweet flavor. It went really well with the tartness of the cranberries, the savory taste of the stuffing and the giant chunks of roast turkey. These were not thin, cold-cut slices of turkey-flavored meat product. While driving back to my office, starving, I was happy to have the croissant, because I could easily tear off a couple hunks to eat while traveling. It was incredibly buttery and flaky and delicate, all those things we want croissants to be. I could not possibly have eaten the sandwich while driving, because it was overstuffed with fillings. But the bread and the moist stuffing did a good job of keeping it mostly together.

I spent my high school years in Westbrook. We didn't have a giant spinning disc of ice in the river back then. I had to drop by to see this bizarre show of nature. I saw Bakers Bench on my way home. A coffee and The pastry is buttery like a croissant and the filling is creamy and sweet. It all balances perfectly for the most amazing cream horn on the planet! If you love pastries or want to get some for someone else and are looking for something of really good quality this is the place for you. It is totally unpretentious and low key but they kick the "you know what" I'm not sure about This people know about creams and fillings and fluffy fresh pastries. Nothing is heavy or super sweet, everything is airy and tastes as it is supposed to. And the sandwiches are great and big too. They're prices are very good.
