So I'm running a dex build right now with the Balder Side Sword and during my travels I have noticed how the slashes are useless and the thrusts are godlike. As a result I rarely ever use the R1 because why bother? Is this an early game trait or does it balance out later on? I have also been thinking of running a silver knight spear instead as it seems thrust weapons are godlike in DS1 or should I keep the Balder Side Sword as my main weapon? I'd love some people with more experience in DS1 to tell me what their viewpoint is with this situation I've ran into. Is it also better to run 40 dex or 60 dex like in DS3?
