At the end of every BattleBots competition, Awards are given out to recognize teams and robots for a variety of performance and non-performance related reasons. The Giant Nut is a trophy awarded to the winner of the World Championship tournament. Beside the Giant Nut, Giant Bolt trophies are awarded to teams at the end of each season. The winners are chosen based on the design of their bots and how they operate regardless of their performance in the tournament. Awarded by the BattleBots builders, it goes to the robot that best embodies the combination of top-notch engineering and outstanding design. Awarded by the BattleBots judges and producers, the Most Destructive Robot Award goes to the robot which dished out the most damage across the course of a season. It takes into the account the bot, its fights, and the team themselves. Originally introduced during BattleBots IQ , the Best Sportsmanship Award recognized teams who showed the greatest display of sportsmanship in the pits throughout the competition.
