Design for User Experience undergraduate student Rebecca Robertson connects research to application in her academic and professional life. Rebecca Robertson loves to solve problems for customers. And while working full time as a user experience UX designer for Amica Mutual Insurance, she gets to do just that every day. For the past 10 years, she's worked in a variety of design and UX roles for several companies. Rebecca is pursuing her bachelor's degree so she can further develop her skills and advance in the UX field. Balancing online courses with full-time work has meant that Rebecca has had to be strict with time management, but it has also created an opportunity for her to grow as a professional UX designer while studying it. We caught up with Rebecca between work and school to ask more about her experience and hopes for the future.

Blind since birth, the year-old from Wigston attends every home fixture with her guide dog Quizzie, where they sit together in the South Stand. Everybody is so understanding and very encouraging. Becca listens to games through an audio descriptive service, which offers full match commentary, with headsets available to collect from the matchday staff entrance at King Power Stadium. Before Quizzie came to her first match, they allowed us to bring her down on a non-matchday so that she could get used to the stadium and its surroundings. That was really helpful because it allowed Quizzie to familiarise herself with the place and become more confident.
