We drove all the way to Lakes Entrance for fresh fish and chips and were not disappointed. How Many Countries in North America? Cosy coffee shop and cafe with great views across the Lake. Sat outside on the verandah which was perfect. The taste was all on point and kept us very quiet while eating. Our summer trading hours are lunch and dinner 7 da. Very beautiful set up of cafe and restaurant- there was coffee machine in the front and back bar area for the afternoon and night drinks. If this is what the store is like at a quiet time, how bad will it be during peak? I'm sure that the place is delightful, but that short interaction has left me with a negative impression. The poor lady manager took the initiative to apologize multiple times for the delay. Reminded me of mum's cooking 50 years ago when we would catch our own and cook straight away.

Great family restaurant with a large selection of meals. I decided to go with the chef selection, with calamari risotto as the main course, along with a dessert. Snapper was sweet and juicy. Kids had waffles which were demolished in minutes too! The Lakes Boatshed is a charming and picturesque cafe that offers both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing patrons to enjoy the afternoon sun while overlooking the beautiful Lakes. There's a truly impressive selection of fish available to buy. They did put up a notice for customers to expect longer wait due staff shortage which is quite common in most hospitality industry, especially in more remote towns. Big serving size! Situated opposite the water, it provides a quaint setting where one can indulge in their mouthwatering chicken, cheese, and chutney toastie or savor their meat pie filled with high-quality beef albeit slightly fatty. They shared the same rubbery stiffness as the typical servo potato cake. Seriously think that the they might forgot to put salt into it. One of the best places to have a quality meal and coffee. I would highly recommend coming here for dinner, as our meals were generous and fresh. Just as good the second night.
