Terraria features a great number of possible builds, weapons, and armor. The game allows for many different playstyles , from fighting up close and personal in melee to raining bullets from afar and even summoning powerful entities to fight for the player. The game has multiple stages, each unlocked after the defeat of a certain boss. Most of the weapons on the list are Hard Mode, Pre-Moonlord weapons that can be used to defeat one of the last bosses in the game. Still, players should experiment with various playstyles and specific equipment to find the ones that fit them best. Updated February 12, , by Ivan Abadier: While there are a lot of memes and speculation going on about a possible sequel, Terraria still holds an impressive player base, hosting more than 30, players daily. New players and veterans alike come back to this beloved crafting gem and start the challenging journey all over again. With the last update to the game, there are more options than ever when it comes to endgame. Base-building has been brought to a new level, and there are countless new ways to entertain oneself after defeating the final boss. But to get there, players still need to get the very best gear they can get their hands on. The Vampire Knives in Terraria are often overlooked, but they can be a game-changer even in the later stages. They are deadly and efficient, dealing massive amounts of damage to enemies while restoring the player's health with each hit.
The only real weaknesses here are its lack of ammo efficiency and low knockback against enemies.
Swords remain a staple weapon in fantasy RPGs, and Terraria is no different in its selection of powerful blades. When facing Terraria 's endgame opponents, the right Sword could spell the difference between victory and utter death. Updated January 28, by Rhenn Taguiam: The upcoming 1. Players who want to dominate their Sword game in Terraria Hardmode should consider the Breaker Blade for its vicious appearance. Despite its averaging stats for its size, its specialty lies in its capability of being able to bring the pain to stronger foes. Swinging the weapon emits yellow particles, with the attack pattern providing coverage to enemies in the rear. Befitting its namesake, Excalibur in Terraria gameplay boasts a rather elegant appearance with a sleek ornamental golden blade with a regal guard.
Terraria is a base-building video game with lots of weapons, both of the melee and ranged varieties. Which weapon type you choose to use is up to you, but ranged weapons are often best for harder content, especially while fighting enemies that can fly since it's easier to hit a target in the air with a projectile. There are lots of ranged weapons for you to pick from in Terraria, including magical weapons , but guns are a great choice since they deal lots of damage and have high fire-rates. The following guns are the best that Terraria's arsenal has to offer and how to get them. Updated March 27, by Ja Vaughn Marshall: There's no reason not to jump back into Terraria to beat the Moon Lord once and for all— with the freedom that Post-Moon Lord items can provide, you'll be able to enjoy all the content that the Dead Cells crossover has to offer. You're going to need a strong set of weapons if you even want to get to the Moon Lord, and guns remain one of the strongest types you can get your hands on to date. Even if you don't plan to play a strictly gun-based build, it's always a good idea to keep your hands on at least one in case melee doesn't cut it. Some weapons you can't obtain Pre-Hardmode , so check out this guide for the best pre-hardmode weapons in Terraria. The Phoenix Blaster is the only Pre-Hardmode gun worth taking past the Wall of Flesh, outputting a consistent stream of damage without requiring too large of an ammunition pool. While it eventually falls off due to the immediate availability of weapons like the Uzi, if you're having trouble getting your hands on those weapons, you can always rely on the Phoenix Blaster.

With Gold Coins, it's stronger than many post-Plantera weapons; for the relatively affordable price of around platinum, you can easily blast through a boss that would otherwise give you trouble. It's perfectly reasonable to use this against Plantera, Golem, or even Duke Fishron. And in the lategame, after you have access to the best gear from the Tavernkeep, this early Hardmode weapon is still relevant, retaining its role as the least placement-dependent sentry in the entire game other than the two postgame sentries. However, they will usually deal less damage than Crystal Bullets, despite their higher base damage. It is also usable for short-range wall cheesing, though the spear itself does not pierce through walls. Its energy orb fires too slowly and with too heavy an arc to be a serious option for crowd control, and it can't even interrupt a Paladin without help from the blade. This is among the better melee weapons against Plantera, and matches up well against most of the Underground Jungle in general. Don't use this underground. Note that it will only loop back to strike the same enemy if no other enemies are nearby, meaning that its single-target DPS is significantly higher against bosses than against individual enemies in a crowd. Most magic weapons at this stage are specialized for crowd control with mediocre single-target damage, and the Sky Fracture gives up all of its crowd control in exchange for out-DPSing the others by a hair's width.
Weapons are essential items used for combat against enemies , bosses , critters , and even other players during PvP games. Terraria has a wide variety of weapons and weapon classes, each suited to particular play styles or specific tasks.
It is roughly comparable to the Stormbow with Bone Arrows, or the Sandgun with Pearlsand which you will not be using lol. Out of all the biome chest weapons, the Piranha Gun finds itself in the best spot. Rather than replacing your other whips, it should be used alongside them to reap the benefits of both. At worst, it can be used like a poor man's Dao of Pow by simply throwing it in a straight line and letting it return to you, piercing all enemies along the way. The Sunfury is a fairly common drop in Shadow Chests down in the Underworld. It can dish out devastating damage to various enemies, quickly disposing of bosses with multiple hitboxes, such as The Destroyer. If you want to make a conveyor skybridge, it's in your best interest to leave a crashed meteorite somewhere in your world so the game won't spawn any more. We wouldn't recommend these items beyond the Wall of Flesh, as they simply don't do enough damage to sustain you into Hardmode. Durendal's Blessing will improve the attack speed of other whips, so it can be swapped back and forth with another whip if you're willing to minmax for optimal DPS. Chain Gun enjoys them, too. The Eye can be found in Hardmode after defeating Plantera. The Terra Blade has a lot of unique features and powers, rightfully being considered one of the most powerful weapon options by the players. However, the cursed flamethrower in the second phase makes whipping basically impossible, so for that phase I don't recommend using either whip if you have access to a semi-decent ranged weapon. The Zenith isn't just a weapon: it's a symbol of power and prestige. Feel free to use the freebies you get from chests, but if you're going to craft some cheap ammunition, craft Frostburn Arrows instead.
