Liz Buxbaum has always known that Wes Bennett was not boyfriend material. You would think that her next-door neighbor would be a prince candidate for her romantic comedy fantasies, but Wes has only proven himself to be a pain in the butt, ever since they were little. Wes was the kid who put a frog in her Barbie Dreamhouse, the monster who hid a lawn gnome's severed head in her little homemade neighborhood book exchange. Flash forward ten years from the Great Gnome Decapitation. It's Liz's senior year, a time meant to be rife with milestones perfect for any big screen, and she needs Wes's help. See, Liz's forever crush, Michael, has just moved back to town, and—horribly, annoyingly—he's hitting it off with Wes. Meaning that if Liz wants Michael to finally notice her, and hopefully be her prom date, she needs Wes. He's her in. But as Liz and Wes scheme to get Liz her magical prom moment, she's shocked to discover that she actually likes being around Wes. And as they continue to grow closer, she must reexamine everything she thought she knew about love—and rethink her own perception of what Happily Ever After should really look like. See how we rate. I miss your clothes and curly hair. Poor, poor Wes. Sometimes I don't understand how Liz thinks because I can't connect with her. I wouldn't inculpate this on Liz alone since I believe it's just how teenagers are and at some point, we have all certainly behaved like that. The Decision Book I adored her love for music and the playlists and her love for rom coms and how it solidified the bond she had with her mom as it reminded me of mines in doing so. Garcia, Chuck. Let me tell you that this book is one of the best-selling books. I won't deny that Wes and Liz's relationship was cute, but at the same time, while it was developed a lot throughout the course of the book, I never felt that we were given the outcome of that development. Brewer, Judson. Clark, David. Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Arikawa, Hiro. Warren Buffett and the That part might have actually been tragic, but it wasn't addressed very well until the end, and everything else was annoying. You would think that her next-door neighbor would be a prince candidate for her romantic comedy fantasies, but Wes has only proven himself to be a pain in the butt, ever since they were little. Konishi, Asuka. Write Review Add to favorites. Her grief is palpable throughout the novel and as much as this is a story of hearts adorably aligning this is also a story about processing loss and moving forward. I appreciate the fact that Liz was able to pin-point the root of all her trauma.
