Yeah, they have. I don't know why, but I'm enjoying it as it is. And, while I haven't made any so far, I feel like I might make at least one in the future. They do seem to be popping up all over the place today, particularly me irl, who appear to be having some form of meme of the month war. Haven't posted any myself yet, but a few of them have given me a good chuckle. It's great seeing our little franchise getting mainstream recognition, as much as Reddit can provide, anyway. The sudden influx of memes is as inexplicable as it is amusing, and I look forward to what else lies in store before something new obscures it.

Jokes using the images in instruction manuals had seen use for several years, namely of those with Lewa Swinging his Axe dating back to at least [3] see section below. Whenua Drill Edits are edits of the last page of the instructions for the set Toa Whenua, showing how his weapons could combine to form a drill. In this image is shows his feet towards the viewer and appearing to lay down. Lewa Swinging his Axe is picture from the instruction manual of the set Toa Lewa, usually edited with captions.

Bionicle , short for Bio logical Chro nicle , was conceptualized after LEGO decided to create a toy line with an overarching story. The site was finally shut down along with Bionicle. Beginning of July 2, , an unknown image of a black and white display image surface the internet , the source is unknown and the community heavily speculated on this image. July 30th, , various users across different fan sites noticed that when they typed in the term "Bionicle" into LEGO. On September 8th, , BZPower Reporter Adrian discovered a picture of the golden mask featured in previous "leaks" of varying authenticity on the Lego website's servers. Brickset user Bricklover noted on Brickset's coverage of this [11] , that the URL for the image included at the end "Bioniclenew. The same video was also posted to LEGO's Facebook [13] and a description of the powers that it contains. The Facebook post gained over 4, likes in 24 hours. It is told that there exists a mask that will grant its bearer unspeakable power. The website was later updated over the months with character profiles, locations, and videos.

It's been dominating multiple meme sites, threads on 4chan, Dorkly and College Humor are posting it. I saw something about this on Twitter, and I think I may have seen one or two on there as well.
