Link can start the Quest by talking to Molli in Rito Village , where she'll ask him if he wants to hear a story. However, Molli does know where the big tree is. If Link glides northwest with the Paraglider from the same cedar tree, he can see the Ancient Shrine hidden in a small cave under the Biron Snowshelf, which resembles a white bird with its wings spread. Activating the Shrine will complete the Quest.
Biron snowshelf shrine
The quest The Bird in the Mountains will point you toward it. To begin this shrine quest, speak to Molli in Rito Village. You can often find her on a balcony along the stairs below the level with the Akh Va'quot Shrine, looking off across the lake towards the distant mountains - usually between 9am and 9pm. Speak to her, and she will direct you to a lone cedar tree in the Hebra Mountains, due north from Rito Stable and northeast from Rito Village on top of Talonto Peak. Make sure that you zoom in and tag the tree with your Sheikah Slate to leave a pin so you don't get lost on the way up the mountain. You can ascend the mountain in various ways, but the most straightforward may be to take the road past the Flight Range to the Hebra Trailhead Lodge, and head up Rospro Pass up to the Northeast past Corvash Peak and use the wind gusts to help you up to the main peak. Once on Talonto Peak, look northwest using the map to orient yourself. With a little imagination you should see a snowfield in the distance that resembles a bird with its wings spread out called the Biron Snowshelf. Look for the spread out wing tips along the left marked by the slight grey marks - it can be hard to spot if the weather isn't clear. Start flying over there from the tree -- you should soon catch a glimmer of orange. Don't glide onto the snowshelf just yet, right at the cliff in front of the shelf, you'll see an opening that leads to a hidden shrine.
Just south of the camp there are some breakable boulders by the cliff that have a treasure chest that contains a Ruby gem. Ice Ruins Eastern Palace 3.
As the title of the shrine suggests, this shrine requires Link to prove his strength by defeating a Guardian Scout and completing the shrine. This shrine may seem a little intimidating, but it is the same as the other test of strength shrine with just the difference of a stronger Guardian Scout. In this guide, you will learn how to defeat the Guardian Scout, complete the Mozo Shenno Shrine, get the chest, and claim the Spirit Orb! Link will be rewarded with Spirit Orbs for completing Shrines. You get to decide whether you want Link to have more Hearts or more Stamina. Link can climb down a little from the northeastern side of the Biron Snowshelf, and you will see a hollow opening with the Mozo Shenno Shrine inside. It is worth mentioning that the climate in the area is very cold, so make sure that Link has cold-resistant armor.
If you use your Sheikah Sensor, it will guide you on top of the Biron Snowshelf. The shrine is actually located beneath the plateau. To enter the shrine, head to the valley just to the east. There is a small hole along the cliff, at the west side of the valley, at the east edge of the Biron Snowshelf. The shrine is another Major Test of Strength shrine. There is a Guardian Scout and he is very powerful. It will take quite a few hits to take him down, so be sure you have some powerful weapons as well as some food to eat. Early on in the battle, try to perform some Perfect Dodges, followed by flurry rushes to do maximum damage. When the guardian leaps back to perform his massive spin attack, there are no walls to hide behind in this shrine.

There are metal blocks embedded into the floor of the chamber, which can be lifted with Magnesis to protect Link from the Guardian Scout IV.

Whilst there is a Shrine Quest associated with this that will give you an ultra-vague clue as to how find it, it is also possible to simply stumble upon it whilst you are exploring the Hebra region. To do so, head directly north from the Rito Village to reach the Biron Snowshelf. This is just north of Lake Kilsie and west of the Coldsnap Hollow.
