The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma is an intensive two year course that covers fundamental aspects of Musical Theatre training and performance, delivered by knowledgeable and experienced staff in state-of-the-art facilities. You will develop skills in all three disciplines of dance, acting and singing as well as gaining understanding of the musical theatre industry. Throughout the two years you will be challenged to develop your personal and creative potential alongside acquiring the technical and interpretative skills required for performance. Areas of training include: vocal techniques, music theory, acting techniques, devising, directing and storytelling, jazz and movement techniques, choreography, rehearsal and performance skills and etiquette - all leading to the creation and presentation of musical theatre and variety performances.

Musical Theatre. This specialist programme is aimed at students who are passionate about developing their Musical Theatre skills, knowledge and understanding.

Technology and ICT are embedded in the curriculum. Finally, all students choose two further GCSE subjects from a list of options to broaden their learning. The main aim of the pathway curriculum is to provide students with industry style performance opportunities, empowering them to learn more about their chosen art form and themselves. We promote learning through collaboration and place an emphasis on the value of teamwork, artistic experimentation and using the arts as a vehicle for change. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in the local, national and international community. All the pathway courses will be busy and challenging, providing a strong vocational context. Many of our curriculum projects are also supported by our creative industry partners.
