They officially debuted on August 25, Their first single " Chewing Gum " was released on August 24 and the unit had their debut stage on M Countdown on August They originally followed a graduation system. NCT Dream is the third unit of NCT to debut in , and the group is comprised of 7 talented young boys, who continuously charm fans with their incredible chemistry as a group! Lauded by many for their flawless teamwork, they were at first a rotational group, made up of members under the age of 20 international age. As Mark turned 20 in , he ended up graduating from the team at the start of the year. Due to popular demand, however, the rotational system was eventually scrapped, and the group was established as a permanent group with Mark returning as a full-fledged member once again! After a year of training, Mark was introduced to the public via the pre-debut group SM Rookies, and began to gain attention for his cute visuals and talent for rapping! At the end of , Mark became the first member to graduate from the unit. Born and raised in Jilin, China, he joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in , after passing the audition in his home country! After a year of training, he made his debut as a member of NCT Dream in , one of the only two members to not have been introduced as part of SM Rookies. Upon his debut, he charmed fans everywhere with his incredible visuals, vocals and hilarious personality! Prior to becoming a trainee, Jeno was already famous as a child actor, appearing in many CFs! His journey as a K-Pop idol trainee began in , when he auditioned for and joined SM Entertainment in the same year!

Zhong began his career as a child singer, having performed in various concerts and television shows in China and abroad. At age nine, he became the youngest singer to be invited to perform solo at the Golden Hall of Vienna. Zhong was born in Shanghai, China on 22 November In January , at age nine, Zhong was invited to perform the song " Memory " from Andrew Lloyd Webber 's musical Cats at the Golden Hall of Vienna ; at the time, he was the youngest singer to have ever performed solo there. Zhong began his professional career as a singer after participating in singing competitions such as China's Got Talent.
