Civ 6 build order

Rome is NOT the best Civ in the game, but this is still our recommendation for the reasons outlined below. For a comprehensive list of the best Civs, check out our Civ 6 Tier List by clicking here. As a new player I also recommend that you ignore wonders for your first few games. While there are good wonders in 6 they are often not worth the cost vs. They are really not necessary for a win in civ 6.

Neglecting an aspect of strategy early on, failing to leverage a strength or offset a weakness, can leave a civilization falling further and further behind as the game progresses. Or you could get Pingala in capital if you have a lot of food to get great science and culture yields. The only real changes to it occur when the game changes in a way where it needs to be changed again for the better. In general you want to follow the same principles for your capital and your new cities: near a source of water, useful resources, and reasonably close to the rest of your empire. I keep running into obstacles; too small army, too little production and now not enough money.
