In the aftermath of the Gods of Destruction's Tournament , the Dragon Team venture to the Potaufeu , where they soon encounter and are embroiled in a battle with Duplicate Vegeta. At Beerus' planet, Whis is having a conversation with Bulma via his staff, who is inviting him and Beerus to a party on Earth celebrating Universe 7's victory in the tournament. While Beerus and Whis are excited over the variety of foods that will be present, Bulma tells them to arrive at noon the next day, and to invite Monaka, as he was also a part of the team. After Bulma hangs up, Beerus discusses with Whis about Monaka, saying that if Goku sees him, he will constantly insist on fighting him. Whis suggests that Beerus finally admits that Monaka is an amateur, however Beerus reminds him that his role is to motivate Goku and Vegeta, and that due to his status as a god, his authority would be diminished if anyone found out he lied. Beerus came up with an excuse not to bring Monaka to the party, saying that Monaka was busy was work. At the party the next day, Bulma suggests that the party starts, despite Beerus, Whis, and Goku not being there yet.

Vegeta is frustrated that a copy is fighting with Goku, and he is not. They yell Monaka's name, copy vegeta cannot hear them over the sound of his jet boosts propelling.

After being released, Commeson acts through the body of Duplicate Gryll. Commeson has no personality of its own aside from a desire to absorb all living things, with each duplicate of people it has absorbed taking on the personality of the person that it duplicates - along with Commeson's desire. This can however result in duplicates betraying the core Commeson, as was the case with Duplicate Vegeta. Commeson has an endless absorption capacity, being able to keep absorbing the powers of enemies and creating exact copies of them. Commeson is able to not just absorb a person's powers, but also their will, and their spirit. When Vegeta was absorbed by Commeson and a copy of him was created, cloned Vegeta was hesitant on attacking Trunks , Vegeta's son, referred to Goku as Kakarot, and shared the original Vegeta's hate for being controlled which caused Copy-Vegeta to betray cloned Gryll and attack him for constantly giving him orders.

Trunks asks if there is another way to save Vegeta, as the fight could get very violent, and Potage suggests that the core of Commeson should be crushed, so its copies can become weaker. Duplicate Vegeta demonstrates that he took Vegeta's powers from him, firing a Galick Gun of his own, but deliberately missing and firing at the cliff above them. While Gotenks is sent flying to the ground, he defuses, and Duplicate Vegeta praises Trunks for having a strong spirit, while he is about to execute the two young Saiyans. They are then confronted by the menacing group of figures, revealed to be an intergalactic criminal named Gryll and his henchmen, and Potage assumes a battle stance. Potage looks for the lost item, then Gryll confronts them, having picked it up. As he forgot to buy horse meat, he decides to go back to the market, but he continues to fly forward, saying his body is not listening to him. Monaka says he has another delivery to make, and Bulma tells him it will not take long, and directs Monaka, who is using the funnel to fill a giant beaker with an unknown, blue liquid. As Beerus fights, Piccolo and Vegeta grow worried that Goku will realize that he is fighting Beerus wearing a costume. Potage revealed that he is the only survivor, and he has been protecting the seal of Commeson for over a hundred years.

Dragon Ball Super episode 45 aired this week and it is still set on the Planet Potaufeu which is where Goten and Trunks are. Vegeta had to go and save them, but he got in a bit of trouble himself.

The costume rips on the backside and Beerus' tail is exposed, and Piccolo and Vegeta get in-between him and Goku. A purple goo then sneaks behind Vegeta and surrounds him, trapping him and then eventually spitting him out. Due to absorbing all of Vegeta's power, Duplicate Vegeta possesses strength equal to Vegeta in his base form and as such is easily capable of overwhelming Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks to the point where Gotenks' attacks could not even faze him. As the two boys apologize, Goku and Vegeta discuss the pacifier, where Vegeta states he would have chosen death over chewing on one if he knew what they were. They enter the truck then begin playing around with the items in there, blowing up a giant blow-up doll, which causes enough force to lift the truck and slam it on the ground, causing the doors to close on them. Back on Earth, Videl is holding Pan, who is chewing on a pacifier, saying that she will soon move past them. While he is eating, he says he misses King Kai's food, despite it "tasting okay".
