Probably Nice 20 Years Ago C L on Feb 27, We had high hopes for this resort but it is quite rundown and did not meet our expectations. We will not be returning. The Good The spa at this resort is nice and services provided to us during our stay massages and a facial were well done. The staff is professional and the spa area is tranquil and clean. The Bad Our Deluxe Beachfront room was small. The furniture in the room was worn out and the bathroom tiles were quite dingy. The shower water pressure was abysmal and it was common to not have hot water in the evenings. Bath products provided by the resort are not high quality items. The customizable in-room minibar was quite limited and product offerings included with resort fees were bottom shelf. The pool areas have been severely neglected.

The room Couples Negril offers a romantic and largely tranquil all-inclusive experience on a gorgeous stretch of beach outside the town's main action. Included amenities are extensive, ranging from room-delivered breakfasts and top-shelf liquor, to scuba diving and catamaran cruises. Breezy rooms are sophisticated and have iPod docks, coffeemakers, minibars restocked daily, and sleek bathrooms with rainfall showers. Furnished balconies also come standard, but views of the ocean are limited.

A walk down the beach quickly told the story of the massive undertaking this was, and compared to other resorts on that stretch, this is where Couples truly shined for us. I will say that if you desire a slice of pizza from the "grab and go" counter of the lunch area, you will be disappointed more often than not, as they seem to make one 10" pizza at a time, and unless you're waiting around for one to be made, you will likely just find pizza crumbs rather than pizza.
