As the outgoing Mayor, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my fellow Councillors and the community for their support during my 12 months in the role. Cr Ward represents the Bacchus Marsh area and moved there with his family as a year 12 student in His wife and daughter attended Wednesday night's meeting at the Ballan chambers, where Cr Ward told the meeting he wanted to be a mayor for "all of Moorabool". Cr Ward said Moorabool was a fast-growing and increasingly-diverse council. It's exciting to see this - and the challenge is to make sure the growth is balanced.
