Crossway Baptist Church is a Baptist evangelical multi-site megachurch based in Burwood East , in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne , Victoria , Australia. The church is affiliated with the Australian Baptist Ministries. The church was founded by the Reverend J. Newnham in as Blackburn Baptist Church. The overall attendance for was 6, Crossway has planted daughter churches in Craigieburn , Cranbourne , Moreland and Stonnington as well as a number of other smaller experimental church plants. Our Core Beliefs are a summary of what we believe as a Church. They are based on and anchored to the Scriptures, our all-sufficient and sole authority. This statement protects us from error, unifies us in truth, and keeps us tethered to the Scriptures. In addition to these core beliefs, Crossway believes that the Nicene Creed , the Second London Baptist Confession , and the New Hampshire Confession are helpful statements of faith from saints who have gone before. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament canon which, being inerrant in the original manuscripts is the sole authority on all matters of faith and practice. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections and worthy of precisely the same worship and obedience. We believe in God the Father, who reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

During this hour we also have nursery and Sunday School classes for kids of all ages. The Sunday morning service is our main gathering. In this service we join together as a church body and worship our Savior through music, prayer, communion, and preaching. During this time, Nursery , Little Theologians th , Middle School 6th-8th , and High School groups meet in various places around campus. Our biblically driven Sunday school classes are designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture. Each week the nursery is staffed with workers who care for our infants and toddlers.
