You can access the customer portal by selecting Customer Portal on our Login page , and using your Tableau account credentials to login. Step-by-step instructions can be found here. At purchase and renewal, product keys are available in the customer portal at 15 days prior to the contract date, even if the order payment is processed and completed earlier. Your portal administrator can add you to the customer portal using the instructions shown here. However, if you already have access, you can login using your Tableau account credentials to customer. Please reach out to your Tableau Administrator to request access to the customer portal, which will create your Tableau account. You can ask the admin to follow the instructions on how to add users here. For help in determining who your portal administrator is, please reach out to our Customer Support team at customerservice tableau. To assign a key to a new user, portal administrators can follow the instructions here. To re-assign a key, first deactivate the key from its current machine, instructions here. Then, the portal administrator can assign the key to the new user by following the instructions here. Your portal administrator is responsible for managing the licenses and users in the portal.

Dennis Seisun Member asked a question. I've just bot a year subscription to Tableau Cloud Creator and cannot use it because it is asking me to "Create a customer portal". I AM the customer!! Just a very small consulting company. I am also IT and the coffee maker!!! I'll try and send on that platform also but just in case somebody here can help

A Deployment represents a named collection of licenses that are intended to be used or stacked in the same Product Environment for Tableau Server or the seats and features that are part of the same Tableau Cloud site. Deployments should be a coterminous collection of seats which are installed together as either an internal or external set of products. In summary, a customer deployment is a level of organization within a customer portal, and is used to organize a group of Tableau Server seats or Tableau Cloud seats.
