Videos can be super helpful when trying to extract in EFT as it can be very confusing if you are new to a map. Do your best to identify landmarks you know to navigate through Customs so you can extract. There is also a full guide of Customs map if you would rather see that overview. As a scav, there are only a couple extractions available each raid. One of the more common extractions is Administration Gate.

Customs extractions

Customs is a location in Escape from Tarkov. It is the second map that was added to the game. A large area of industrial park land situated adjacent to the factory zone. The area houses a customs terminal, fuel storage facilities, offices, and dorms, as well as a variety of other infrastructure and buildings. The Dorms are two buildings located in the southernmost area of the map. The eastern building is three stories tall while the western building is two stories tall. Each structure boasts a front entrance and a fire escape at each end with doorways leading to each floor some of which are blocked or permanently locked. These dorms are the location of many quests and unlockable rooms. Construction is a two story concrete frame of a building. This structure has a wide view of the river crossings and bridge. New Gas Station is a building at the western side of the map, near the main road. The building has two unlockable rooms in it, and a view on the crane yard guard building. Military Checkpoint is at the end of the road past the New Gas Station. This point has many Scavs and is the only location with easy access through the wall to the extraction zones. The Scav Base is at the northern end of the map and features an unlockable extraction, loot, and views of other locations such as construction, the train crossing and the medical building.

It is one of the closest extractions to Dorms and it is smack-dab in the center customs extractions the map, customs extractions. If it is late in the game and you have already found yourself over on the Boiler Tanks side, ZB is a good extraction to check for. There are a few random loot spawns inside of the gas station, make sure you check before you extract.

Getting through Customs in real life can be a painful experience, but in Escape From Tarkov? Be sure to check your available Extracts when you spawn in or hit the O key to view the list so that you can plan ahead. Located on the west side of the map, the crossroads Customs extraction point is available to both PMCs and Scavs. This is one of the more straightforward routes out, without any requirements. The PMC and Scav extracts are on different sides of the gate block. Just head as far into the southwest corner of the map to reach the barrier with buses behind it. Head into the grassy corner area with trees to the left of the buses to reach the extract point. The Scav extract Trailer Park Worker Shack is nearby, by the corner of the fence in the area with all the temporary buildings. Find the river from the main section of the map and follow it right to reach this spot. If so, you can head down to extract with the boat here.

This means that as you move across the map, you will be parallel with those who spawned on your side and heading directly at those on the opposite — avoiding firefights is pretty tricky. Along with that, this is a common place for SCAVs to spawn, so move with caution. On the southeast side of the map, tucked in some shrubbery behind a warehouse, is a second bunker. Along with that, make sure you keep an eye across the river as players and SCAVs can be on the other side and cross where the shipping containers are in the river. This extraction can be tough to venture to as it is at the very edge of the map as well as it is close to a common PMC extraction, ZB If you stay friendly to other scavs, this can be a low risk extraction with a lot of cover from the environment, which is nice. If the fire is lit, then you are good to tuck in by the shoreline and get an extract that can save you some travel over dangerous terrain. When you are extracting at Smugglers Boat, keep an eye out for the campfire to know if it is open or not. Beginners frequent its lush landscape to complete early quests, and it's the perfect environment for learning EFT's basic mechanics. That said, it's still a challenging arena for more experienced players.

Being able to change a plan on the fly and switch extract can be an invaluable skill. On the North side of dorms there is an exterior wall with an SUV parked in a gate. Make sure to check all of your corners when entering the extraction as there are multiple corners for players to hide in to prevent you from extracting. These spawns are close to three of the four potential boss spawns and give you a good opportunity to get an early drop on him, however the wooded hills mean that nearby players can get to you very quickly.
