It's literally the worst thing I've ever seen in a video game, how could anyone thought that it's a good idea to allow player to roll and walk only in 8 directions when a game requires reflex and precision. I can't even recall how many times I died because my character jumped in other direction than i pointed in. Also, these hitboxes are pathetic and ridicolous. Maybe you can give DS2 another chance once the frustration is gone. But i can imagine it being rather underwhelming after sekiro. The 8 direction thing sounds weird. Being able to roll in 8 directions is called omnidirectional rolling.
