I couldn't ever possibly agree more with you about everything you laid down in this review. My thoughts precisely on the entire game's glaring faults and shortcomings, as well as its few good aspects, it's like you've been in my head while I was playing through the game.

Some of them have one or two notable twists which make them just barely different enough for me to keep them off the list, while others felt similar to other bosses without appearing like blatant rehashes. In ds1 in the first area you get too you can gaze down at blighttown or look up at the giant wall dark souls 2 sucks Anor Londo.
Desktopversion anzeigen. Steam installieren. Globale Errungenschaften. Dark souls 1 is great play it. Poor critique. Hitting eachother at the same time was a thing in Ds1, too. The combo-hollows aren't hard at all, just bait out their attack or strike in advance.
After i beat Sekiro about a week ago, I suddenly wanted to some other souls games and choosed to try Ds2. I didn't played too much earlier cause it wasn't my fav game in the franchise but it was still okay. Unfortunately now it's almost unplayable for me because of only 8 directions you can walk. It's literally the worst thing I've ever seen in a video game, how could anyone thought that it's a good idea to allow player to roll and walk only in 8 directions when a game requires reflex and precision. I can't even recall how many times I died because my character jumped in other direction than i pointed in. Also, these hitboxes are pathetic and ridicolous. Maybe you can give DS2 another chance once the frustration is gone. But i can imagine it being rather underwhelming after sekiro. The 8 direction thing sounds weird. Being able to roll in 8 directions is called omnidirectional rolling.

Below, we look back at how the unexpected sequel broke with traditions to stand as one of the most unusual Soulsbornes from the studio that created the genre. Dark Souls 2 has, since shortly after release, been an odd duck in the franchise. Bloodborne, which came out the following year, stole its thunder though it is hard to argue unfairly. By the time Dark Souls 3 rolled around, its predecessor's reception had distinctly cooled. It often, though not always, fills out the bottom of "Every Souls Game Ranked" lists. However, if you push past your assumptions of what a Souls game must be, Dark Souls 2 offers an elegiac and illogical sense of place, in contrast to the tightly constructed ruins of other FromSoft games.

Finally beating Darklurker after dying no less than 27 times. Oct 27, 1, NYC. Ask A Question. Excuse me for my senseless rambling, I've still got a ton to comment on and express my thoughts about, but its too much and this 4-line comment form is driving me crazy. What does From Software do? So damn bad. It also makes you wonder why they bothered with the persistent landscape approach if they weren't going to bother connecting areas in an interesting or even realistic way. Or when your on the bridge with the torose demon, you can see the burg in its entirety. But one day, you will stand before its decrepit gate, without really knowing why. Oct 27, 3, Bloodborne has lots of shitty hitboxes.

Well if you played ds1 you're sure to know, if not, tough luck. Loadout Member. Personally I had to look it up on google to actually understand Nashandras presence in ds2. And the tracking enemies. It's almost like when people think they see an alien UFO and then become conspiracy theorists. First of all they put 2 almost identical factions into the game. In practice, this made incredibly long sections of the game feel like a complete cakewalk to me. And I know about all its flaws. First of all, both work in specific small isolated areas which a player will never visit a second time once they are cleared. I died so many times in that area that the game turned into Pity Souls and stopped spawning the enemies. Van Bur3n said:. I felt a little bummed that such a unique, memorable location from the first Dark Souls was now getting a half-assed rehash in the sequel, but then I stepped into areas like Drangleic Castle, Aldia's Keep, and even the Dragon Shrine, and found that same towering, majestic architecture. In both cases, the boss sits on the other side of a ledge and swings its flaming appendages at you and spews fire attacks at you. Inkvoterad said:.
