This year saw the start of the relationship with Peugeot Motor Company in a small village town of Bolton nr Appleby. The company moved to Penrith and proved to be the perfect partner for the Peugeot brand and in the 10 years that followed this lead to the acquisition of the second David Hayton site Kendal. David Hayton Kendal, previously Volvo and with fantastic location proved to be an ideal sister site to Penrith. David Hayton Lancaster came on board in , providing the 3rd location along the M6 further cementing the Peugeot relationship and proving to be ideally located outside the more rural areas serviced by the existing locations. In the opportunity to move into Carlisle arrived, the previous site, due to its location suffered badly with flooding, lead to a move to a nearby industrial estate, with fantastic motorway access and a huge potential due to space available. David Hayton Prestige dealing at the exotic end of the market has lead to fantastic exposure in areas previously unavailable to the group,. David Hayton Lancaster added the Nissan franchise to the adjacent land next to the Peugeot Dealership. The Prestige side of the business added Lotus to its showroom in Carlisle. Over the years the reputation for great value and exceptional customer care has enabled us to build a trusted service that our customers have come to rely on.
