DayZ is probably one of the most intense survival shooters out there on consoles and PC. Each character has roughly the same amount of blood as a normal functioning adult in real life, which is somewhere between 4, mL — 5, mL of blood. Just like in real life, if you lose enough blood your character will run the risk of death. So making sure you manage this critical stat is imperative to your own survival throughout the game. When playing the game players will typically lose blood from injury in the game, to varying degrees depending on the severity. In addition, the more wounds you have, the faster the bleeding, and subsequently the faster your character will suffer blood loss. Usually, at around blood your character will start taking shock damage and run the risk of characters falling unconscious — which will in turn lead to death. The most common way to get your blood up is by keeping well fed and hydrated. This is, however, the slowest means possible that blood will regenerate. Beyond this, there are a few faster actions you can take via various medical treatments you can acquire across the game. For instance, a Saline Bag IV will dramatically increase recovery speed. Just like in the real world, each character has a unique blood type, so when performing a blood transfusion, you need to ensure you have the right blood type see below or you could suffer the consequences.

In DayZ the Health stat is a representation of the tangible life force of your character. As such, Health is an extremely critical stat to manage as losing enough of it means the death of your character. Players can lose Health in several ways: when they sustain an injury, be it getting shot, stabbed, or falling great distances; when they are malnourished from starvation or dehydration; from disease or illness; and even from exposure to the elements. Regaining and maintaining Health requires players to be fed, hydrated, protected from the elements and, if injured, have received proper medical treatment. Health , a core stat in DayZ , is perhaps the most important player stat in the game. A representation of a character's life, having your Health reduced to 0 results in instantaneous death. Easy to lose and slow to gain, Health must be monitored at all times.

Meeeh, i don't know. Health can only recover naturally and how fast it recovers is based largely on your blood level. This walkthrough is the property of TrueAchievements. Your blood level is extremely vital in this game and should be one of your top priorities after a fight and sometimes during or you will not live long. These are:. Additionally, every part of your body, including your overall health, regenerate at the same speed at the same time. Numbers can obviously be tweaked, but I feel the regeneration system should neither encourage people to idle for periods longer then a few minutes nor allow them to simply wait out long periods in safety.

Natural Regeneration A player will naturally regenerate blood if he is kept well-energized and hydrated. The amount, or lack thereof, of Health you have, has a large impact on your movement speed. My feelings on this is that blood should regenerate, but at a very slow rate. The highest I've had at one time 4, but I'm sure it could go higher. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe if you let your food and water levels drop to flashing red each, you will begin to slowly lose blood due to starvation and dehydration at a rate of 20 every 2 seconds; this would provide a nice parallel for that system, and encourage players to be a bit less frugal with the nourishment they can find. I am just not a fan of the "eat a slab of meat to instantly regain blood" system. The same is true in DayZ. All players start with a maximum blood level of 5, and a random Blood Type. That kind of decision making is, in my opinion, what makes the mod: You have to do something, but there are few "optimal" ways to do them. There's really no guaranteed way to not lose health other than being as careful as possible, but things happen. Always find a bridge or something to cross water if you have to. Striking a balance between realism and enjoyment is imporant.. Using an incompatible blood type will result in the typically fatal Hemolytic Reaction. Redd DayZ 0.
