After the suspension of face-to-face education activities due to the Covid pandemic, distance education was used as an important method for continuing education activities. This study aims at determining teachers' views on distance education implemented during the pandemic. The phenomenological research design was used as a qualitative research method. The experimental group consists of 52 primary teachers from various regions of Turkey in the academic year. The questionnaire developed by the authors was used as a data collection tool. The obtained results revealed that teachers had both positive and negative views of distance education implemented during the pandemic, they experienced difficulties based on internet connection issues, lack of devices, and inadequate participation, and they tried to produce solutions for these issues. Teachers believed that distance education would be present in the future education processes; however, it is important to eliminate the current problems regarding distance education. Teachers also mentioned that this period had both positive and negative reflections on their professional lives.
