The Doom series has always been home to a ton of secret areas, but the N64 exclusive Doom 64 took things to another level. Utilizing a different engine from what id Software created, the developers at Midway were able to pack denser geometry and better-scripted events into the game, doom 64 secrets. This led to secret levels and items that had pre-requisites for finding.
Then, for the rest of the game, there will be a Features menu when you press Pause it will disappear if you shut off your Nintendo 64 or you exit the game. Press pause and go to 'features'. After you shoot the other 9 barrels, use the teleporter Hidden in one of the walls in the main corridor to return to the start of the level. Then, shoot the barrel you left and turn directly behind you, and go into the room with the berzerk pack. There will be an open teleporter- a blood stain marks the entrance. Doom 64 secrets
MAP Hectic is the first secret level that can be found in Doom 64 and is considered to be the most difficult level in the game. From a chronological standpoint, this level is where the player can first come across Hell knights and arachnotrons. Each of the three Doom 64 level designers created one of the three respective challenge rooms: Randy Estrella made the arachnotron room, Tim Heydelaar made the trapped lift room, and Danny Lewis made the Hell knight room. The reward for finishing this map completely is the game's "Features" menu, where cheat codes and additional secret levels can be accessed. In a textual intermission before the level begins, it is described as follows:. This walkthrough will provide guidance on using the alternate exit in this level. The normal exit can be activated simply at the start of the level, but only using the alternate exit will enable the "Features" menu option. All items in the beginning room are booby trapped. Some of the traps can be overcome see the Items section with varying degrees of difficulty, but failure will lead to death. Open the door on the right and enter. Pick up the red key. You will then be lowered into a room with no exit. Immediately, arachnotrons will appear. Pick up the rockets scattered around the room and dispose of the arachnotrons. Due to the limited space available, this is difficult to achieve, as the arachnotrons can corner you if you are not careful, and there is always the possibility of splash damage from one of your rockets.

It was designed by Randy Estrella. It uses the music track "The Madness" by Aubrey Hodges. When you begin the level, you may have to deal with troopers in the cages to the left and right if you're playing on I own Doom! By Aciel. Secret 2: In the Super Shotgun room, go back to the pillar that had the three switches around it, check the side that doesn't have a switch to reveal a Backpack from a pillar behind you. Be sure to hurry- it doesn't stay open long! This will allow you to safely collect the blue and red skull keys, without triggering their corresponding traps. Secret 4: Enter the Red Door, and then open the bookcase inside, once you do go forward, and then take a left and walk until you see a curved rocky wall, it's actually a secret room filled with Energy Cell Packs, and a Mega Sphere. Pressing the switch opens the central room and releases more Cacodemons and Lost souls. Pressing the left switch has no obvious result yet. Secrets 3 and 4: When you enter the next building early in the level, kill the Nightmare Imps, and go forward until you hit the wall face to face, then walk backwards until you see a section of the wall lowering to reveal a Mega Armor you can pick up, once you do don't move from that spot and let the pillar take you up, once it does, walk backwards for two steps, and face left to activate the invisible switch revealing a Rocket Launcher.
