Drawabox is a set of free exercise-based lessons that focus on the fundamentals - the skills you'll need to make drawabox of all the other resources and tutorials out there, drawabox. The paper was able to be clamped into place to keep it parallel to the work surface and I was able to use the built-in ruler to draw horizontals as in the horizon line and verticals using a second ruler butted up against the built-in one.

The best thing I can say upfront is that Drawabox is completely free , and with that in mind it very well may be the best way to learn without spending any money. The actual fundamentals can be somewhat fluid because what one person considers a fundamental subject, another may consider ancillary to the fundamentals. These are the prerequisite skills you want to work on to call yourself an accomplished artist. Artists may argue that other subject belong in this list like color, proportions, and human anatomy. All of those topics are crucially important, especially for concept art.
