Any Dark Souls fan will immediately recognize the "onion knight" as he gets stuck in familiar situations to the original game. His questline is one of the most important in the game, and forgetting to do it will result in players missing out on some great items and the entire Catarina Armor Set. Siegward is also one of the most helpful NPCs and will assist players in multiple fights one of them being Yhorm the Giant. Here's a quick guide to completing his quest. Players will first meet Siegward as they make their way out of the Undead Settlement.
Ds3 siegward
Siegward can first be encountered taking a two-stage elevator up from the basement of the church in the Undead Settlement. He tells the player that he is trying to figure out how to get to the top of the tower, in order to speak with whoever is launching the giant arrows , but the elevator only goes down to the basement. Once the player takes the elevator in either direction, Siegward will relocate, having solved the mystery of the elevator with the player's assistance. When the player is traveling between the ground level and the top of the tower, Siegward can be heard pondering during the descent, indicating that he has changed locations. There is a hidden platform that can be accessed by jumping off the elevator as it travels between floors, which leads to an upper level of the Undead Settlement. Siegward can be encountered here, sitting on a ledge observing the Demon off in the distance. If the player goes down and engages it, Siegward will berate them but offer support in defeating it. If the player speaks to him again, they will learn the "Sleep" gesture as well. After encountering Unbreakable Patches in the Cathedral of the Deep , the player can encounter Siegward stuck in a well in the Cathedral of the Deep, right outside of the Cleansing Chapel bonfire. As Patches has stolen his armor , the player must retrieve it in order to rescue Siegward. The armor can be obtained by purchasing it from Patches, or by killing him and looting it. If the player missed Patches's encounter in the Cathedral, they must trigger his appearance at Firelink Shrine.

I am Siegward of Catarina. Thank you, my old friend, you were truly a wonderful warrior. The moment has almost come. You can talk to Seigward as long as you didn't send Greirat off while you have to take down poontiff. Load more. Pierce Shield. Once the Demon has been defeated. The next stop on Siegward's journey is Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. At the kitchen in Irithyll. Until we meet again, my good friend! PreparetoSigh 7 years ago 7.
He will spawn once you open the main doors to the cathedral up the elevator to the left of the boss room , reload the area, and then return, if you've spoken to Siegward after killing the Fire Demon in Undead Settlement. He will trick you into crossing the bridge which he will then lower down to the giants.
But you musn't get in over your head. Siegward will assist the players until it is defeating or he is killed. That being stated, I probably wouldn't have minded if this character existed if he was parading around in the armor and mannerisms of a long dead character. Home of Yhorm, the reclusive giant lord. Long may the sun shine! His "good ending" to where he, in his mind, bravely sacrifices himself for the player to progress, is an elegant way to showcase what passivity combined with overwhelming pride can control one's life. The next time you run into Siegward will be outside the Cathedral of the Deep after defeating the Deacons of the Deep. I never send Greirat to pillage irithyll until right after I killed sullivan. With a little warming up, eventually I did almost the entire quest give the armor and beyond just before the Yhorm fight, and he thanked me nonetheless. Submit Submit Close.
