Elden ring best curved greatsword
Curved Greatswords remained widely unpopular in the Elden Ring community for a long time. Not only did they weigh down players by a considerable amount, but their base attack rating also underperformed severely when compared to weapons in other classes.
As you might expect, Curved Greatswords are like Curved Swords , but bigger. In an ideal world, they maintain the speed and elegance of their shorter counterparts, but with the power of a much larger weapon. That hasn't always worked out in Elden Ring , but a patch gave the weapon class massive buffs, giving some of the weaker options a chance to be viable, and making the ones that were powerful already even stronger. This list will help you decide which of these weapons are actually worth your time. Unfortunately, that doesn't automatically make it a great option for mage builds. That said, it will fully knock down many smaller enemies, which can effectively stunlock them. You can find them all across the Land's Between, but they are especially common in Elden Ring's opening area, Limgrave.

FromSoftware games are famous for including dozens upon dozens of different weapons in their games, with some weapons being so unique that they have their own unique abilities. Elden Ring is nowhere near excluded from this fact, as the open-world RPG game has considerably more weapons than other games like Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Elden Ring has many different weapon types as well, like Short-Swords, Greatswords, and even Colossal weapons. Another, more niche type of weaponry is the Curved Greatsword. Weapons of this category have their own combos and some of the most unique weapon arts in the entire game! As far as simple physical damage goes in Elden Ring, the Monk's Flameblade lacks serious numbers in comparison to the rest of the arsenal of Curved Greatswords. Not only does that fact bring it so far below the list of the best Curved Greatswords in Elden Ring, but the Monk's Flameblade also has shorter range than most of its competitors. It's notable that the player can change up the Monk's Flameblade Ash of War though, giving the player access to how they'd like to customize this weapon rather than being stuck with a specific Ash of War. Dismounter is arguably one of the more bland weapons in the entirety of Elden Ring, and definitely one of the more overlooked Curved Greatswords in the game. That isn't for no reason though, as the Dismounter is among some of the least respectable weapons in the game, though player's efficiently using them deserve all the respect. The Dismounter does more damage than the Flameblade and has more range, but the damage just falls too short below others on this list. If sought out, players can obtain them from Kaiden Sellswords. The Omen Cleaver can be obtained by any player wishing to complete their Elden Ring weapon collection by taking out Omen enemies. The most important differences that set this sword above the higher two on this list is that it actually has enough damage to be viable for different aspects of Elden Ring. Mix that with the fact that players can change up its Ash of War, and that the Omen Cleaver has a special heavy attack, and you get a decent weapon!

I was surprised to see greatswords actually do more damage than curved greatswords, i thought it was the other way around. I'm using it the whole game, and deal about damage per swing. Kept expecting to find one and finally had to look it up. It's very difficult to space these weapons now because the hitbox is notably longer than the weapon model. And on top of everything else, the Bloodhound's Fang has a great Weapon Skill, Bloodhound's Finesse, which causes you to lunge forward then slash upwards in a summersault, and can then be followed up with a Heavy Attack that causes you to lunge forward again. Can someone please explain to me what the advantage of this weapon type is? The deciding factors that allowed this Curved Greatsword to achieve this spot are its unique Ash of War, niche build, and the fact that it can hit multiple enemies.
It is a pity, that now I can not express - it is compelled to leave. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think.
I am assured of it.
