Laravel exederm built-in eloquent functions that perform the same duty for us. To find those records which have no null records in laravel by checking a specific columns you can use the WhereNotNull function.

I do realise that the relation here should be belongsTo but this is legacy code and I believe the relation type does not affect the issue at question here. Which obviously will not return anything, but still wastes resources. Is there any way of automatically checking for that?
