Fallen stars occur each and every night in Terraria, randomly falling all over the map, but do you need them for anything, and if so, what? Fallen Stars are primarily an unusual crafting material in Terraria, used for a variety of purposes. This includes a few weapons, vanity items, and most importantly, Mana Crystals. During the day, they will only not despawn if placed in your inventory or a storage container. Even throwing them to another player during the day will cause them to despawn. Still, they fall every night, so you only need to gather a few each night to end up with a good stockpile quickly.
