Diamond City Blues is a side quest in Fallout 4. The quest starts in Diamond City , where the Sole Survivor must help Paul Pembroke deal with Henry Cooke , the barkeeper of the Colonial Taphouse , and then intercept a drug deal in order to gain access to a chem lab. The quest is obtained by witnessing Pembroke get in a fight with Cooke over Pembroke's wife Darcy. The fight happens when the player character enters the Colonial Taphouse in Diamond City for the first time. Shortly after the scene, Paul Pembroke will seek out the player character in Diamond City, and the actual quest starts. Note that if one refuses to help Paul when he asks for backup, Diamond City Blues will not immediately start.

To get this side quest, first visit the Colonial Taphouse bar in Diamond City and witness a bar fight between Paul and Cooke, then leave the bar. You'll eventually get approached by Paul to help him confront Cooke, this will start the quest. Once arriving at the bar with Paul, you will have the option to calm the situation down with a speech challenge, or just shoot and kill Cooke. If you just kill Cooke at the bar, loot his body and read the note about the chem deal, and you can avoid doing the quest with Paul, and keep all the loot for yourself. After the situation at the bar is dealt with, you can head towards the chem deal location.
There are hundreds of locations for you to discover in Fallout 4 , ranging from settlements to molerat nests, but not many are more interesting than Diamond City. This settlement, complete with a large population and multiple thriving businesses, is a gem in the otherwise dark Commonwealth; and there are lots of unique things to experience in this town.
