It can be received after starting the quest Vault-Tec Calling , provided the player has the add-on installed and is at or above level This station is an emergency broadcast from Vault 88 , calling for the help of Vault-Tec. The broadcast has likely been triggered due to a group of raiders trying to break their way into the vault. After listening to the message, the location of the vault will be marked on the map and the quest Vault-Tec Calling will update. After having activated the vault radio, the broadcast will consist of a brief post-War advertisement for Vault 88 recorded by Overseer Barstow as well as the vault's location, and instructions for application. After the Sole Survivor has become overseer, the broadcast will consist of a more enthusiastic advertisement from Clem , encouraging anyone listening to come live in Vault 88, followed by the vault's location.

Recruitment radio beacons are constructible settlement objects featured in Fallout 4 , which can be built through a workshop. Once the Sole Survivor has gained control over a workshop in any settlement , a recruitment radio beacon can be built and powered. Once active, this beacon will broadcast a recorded message, in the Sole Survivor's own voice, followed by one of a few pieces of patriotic music, and the cycle then repeats. These beacons consist of a large radio antenna, which, once built and supplied with the necessary power, will transmit a radio station listed as settlement recruitment beacon , attracting randomized settlers. The transmission can be turned on and off using the switch at the base of the tower, and while on, can be listened to just like any other radio station.

The range of these beacons can be extended by activating relay towers near the settlement to boost the signal, increasing the recruitment of settlers. Fallout Wiki Explore. Fallout games. Fallout 4 radio beacon
Boston City Works Beacon is a radio station in Fallout 4. It can be picked up after extending the satellites at relay tower 1DL It is a recorded message from a trapped employee in an operations building, to a slothful and supposedly unhygienic colleague named Spiegel. The origin of the signal is a ham radio in the reactor level of an operations building. It is directly to the west of the relay tower on a dam and can be recognized by its blue door. The first room of the building holds little of interest except for a wooden crate next to the entrance, but in the back of the room is a hatch leading to the caved-in reactor level behind some cardboard boxes. The ham radio can be found directly to the left at the reactor level.

Noticed it a while ago as well :p. But the bigger problem is that once the initial settlers appear the first time I activate it, no others ever seem to show up afterwards. The radio is a world object and constructible settlement object in Fallout 4. The station cannot be reprogrammed and the radio has to be replaced with another radio if one desires a different station. A dirty variant exists for all three stations, while a pristine version exists only for Classical Radio if the Vault-Tec Workshop add-on is installed.
Vault-Tec Pip-Boy signal received. Startedf fresh game after not playing for 9 months and now find I cannot attract settlers to a settlement because of something as silly as getting power to the radio beacon!!! Atomic Shop Apparel Bundles C. Store Page. But there's no where to hook up the power like there was on the old style radio tower and the description says you don't need to hook up wires.
