Female border collies for rehoming
Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue is a boutique breed specific rescue uniquely qualified to improve the lives of misplaced border collies by placing them into homes matching the individual needs of each dog. Knowing and caring for this breed for more than 30 years has provided MABCR with the skills to take dogs from uncertain futures, and female border collies for rehoming them into caring, responsible homes. MABCR is a c 3 organization run primarily by volunteers who have direct knowledge of living and working with border collies.
Below are some of the dogs currently available for adoption through MidAtlantic Border Collie Rescue. Please click on their profile for additional information. You can also find information, video, and photos on our Facebook page. Please note that any dog may be in the process of being adopted, and we do often have dogs in rescue that are not listed here due to recent intakes, medical or behavioral holds. Each of our dogs are placed through a selective process — think eHarmony — that ensures each dog is placed with the family that is the best fit.

Sam came to PPBC with his 2 brothers and mum and dad. He has since been in a foster home living with other dogs and has been around ponies. Sam was very underweight when he came in and has slowly gained some weight but this will need to be continued in his new home. Sam has become very attached to his fosterer and is very affectionate with her but is wary of other people. He is not keen on travelling in the car but this is improving. Sam would ideally be homed with another dog s but will chase birds so probably not best to rehome with small furries or cats. Sam would be best with one owner or a couple who will give him the time and patience to build up a bond with them. Once this has happened you will be rewarded with a lovely, affectionate boy. Due to this he would be best in a home where he will not be left for long periods of time. Sam is in foster in Norfolk so meets would be possible.
