A lot of armor seems to require this item to upgrade for some reason, even items that seem to have no reason to require it At first I was just one-shotting them with ice fruit, but I noticed they were not dropping any tails. I assumed this was because using ice on fire enemies was basically disintegrating them so I just tried fighting them normally Rarely one will drop, but it's almost always just their horns and talons. I tried ice again to see if that guarantees none and no, sometimes the tail still drops even when using ice. But overall, the drop rate seemed laughably low, especially when several items need multiple tails to be upgraded. Is there some trick I am not getting to make them drop more reliably? Am I maybe only supposed to be slashing weapons because it considers using clubs or something else "damaging" their non-bone body parts?
