Fitbit heart rate not working
Since the last update 2 weeks ago, the heat rate monitor on my versa 2 is not working. The LED lights on the back are not working. I have completed a full factory reset further to previous mails, but nothing has fixed it.
My ionic has not read my heart rate in days it just stopped working. I've reset my watch I've shut it all the way down I've also updated the app still nothing. Seems odd that your device is not recording heart rate information as designed, thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot your device prior posting. Welcome to the Fitbit community, Michaela! Sad to hear that you're having an issue with your Charge 5 not tracking your heart rate. First of all, please check if HR tracking is activated on your device. To do so just swipe down from the clock face to reach your device's settings. After having tapped Settings , swipe down until you find Heart Rate and make sure this is enabled.
As a Fitbit user, there have been times when the green light of the heart rate monitor on my Fitbit Versa just stopped working for no apparent reason at all. Being an obsessive person, and having gone through this issue with my Fitbit I found out every possible reason why this happens. On your Fitbit, go to settings and tap the heart rate to turn the heart rate monitor on. Also, clean the sensor side of your Fitbit to improve contact with the skin. If you have a Fitbit Versa 3, turning the heart rate monitor on cannot be a fix because the heart rate monitor cannot be turned off in the first place in Versa 3. Sometimes any residue on the back of your Fitbit might be causing the device to lose contact with your skin. This is also the prime reason why your sleep data isn't being tracked on your Fitbit Versa. Especially when you are exercising, move the Fitbit a bit further up from your wrist bone so that it's firmly in place.

But why is your Fitbit not tracking heart rate in the first place?

Let me explain to you that if you want to see your heart rate on the Fitbit app, your Charge 2 should be syncing so you can see your heart rate data live, and also you have to make sure that your BPM are being tracked at the same time. Should I sit tight and wait for a firmware update or bite the bullet and get a new device - which may or may not be a Fitbit at this point. You have to get the update to download. Can anyone help?
