I currently have EFI manifolds with homemade down pipes into a single in dual outlet muffler.

From the ones I've seen in the old threads, most appear to have a short Y pipe close to the manifolds and run single from there back. My thoughts are to run the dual pipe back farther underneath and leave the O2 bung connection with the bung plugged as a crossover.

Automakers have developed and built countless engines over the years, but few have achieved what you might call legendary status. The Ford cubic-inch inline-six is undoubtedly one of them. Even with meticulous upkeep they lose compression, crack castings, and blow head gaskets. Two of them from thrown rods, of all things. No one I know has had a running six for almost ten years now. Every manufacturer makes engines that will go a million miles with just oil changes, but the chance of owning one is worse than the lottery.
