Well, firstly, it is always buzzing. There is little chance of getting one of the comfy armchairs in the large drinking-only bar area but we do manage one of the few remaining tables in the one of the two cosy dining rooms. The bar boasts a range of cask ales amongst all the usual brands and there is a wine list with enough styles and prices to keep those preferring the grape happy. The Fox is food-led with a menu that offers more than just the expected bar classic and the food ordered was freshly cooked and was amongst the best I have eaten of late in a pub. Great to find a chain that finally gets what pubs are about, no wonder it is always busy. My parents recommended this place as a comforting place to eat and what a great recommendation it was. Me and my partner had a wonderful meal with the full lashings of starter, main and pudding.
