Gemmy dancing santa replacement parts
I have a gemmy antimated Christmas bear it sings and dances and his head moves but his mouth does not. Hi, I would like to first tell you what the problem is with either your Bing or Bear head. Inside the head is a motor that works the mouth. On this rotating motor is a pulley type system, which has a twine or you could call a heavy string piece. It is attached to the motor, and when the is activated it rotates the thread round the spindle on the motor and the mouth operates.. It is quite a difficult to take this head apart. I worked on my Bing for some time to find out this problem.. The string comes away with use and of course time, that is is why the mouth no longer moves. If you wish to try and repair, you first have to remove the head from the base. If you look there are 4 heavy duty staples just round the collar neck area.
You're going to want to look at that while you have him opened up for the head turning repair. Install the app.

If it has animation or motion, these actions should also begin upon plug in. If not, please check the following:. Christmas and Halloween displays are getting more advanced and larger every year and nothing says celebrate more than to see some characters moving and making noise! So lets have a look inside at one of those singing and dancing Santa claus dolls that you have probably seen somewhere at a relatives house or maybe a store or restaurant at Christmas. The most well known brand was the Gemmy brand which has been making similar Christmas and Halloween animatronics for around 30 years. Now there are a handful of versions of the dancing singing Santa Claus available and many people seek these things out in the used market on Ebay and similar sites. Usually there is something that breaks in a 15 or 20 year old plastic big toy that is packed into a box every year after Christmas and tugged and knocked over by children and drunken relatives just about every year. Gears crack from age or wear and tear, motors can die, foot switches can get loose, the electronics at the base can burn out. The good ones are supposed to move the head and gyrate the hips while the song plays and the lips will move pretty close to the words that are sun…if it is not broken. It works great. It sings about 10 tunes while moving its hips and head side to side with mouth moving to the lyrics and the arms move a little with the hips. So we put on a Gemmy Freaky Geek Frank head since they fit identically into the same slot and it worked just as well.

Music works but no movement. Thread starter Karob Start date Dec 5, It is quite a difficult to take this head apart. Search Advanced search…. Where can I get a replacement motor for my 50 inch Gemma dancing Santa? Is there any easy fix for that or is it something too complicated? JPB Full time elf. Could be a case of someone tripping over the cable years ago and yanking it out? Once they are all removed the head should be loose. Inside the head is a motor that works the mouth. I hope this is an easy fix? I too have one of these dancing santas in my display but he is 6ft tall.
Ensure the air intake is clear of obstructions and the zipper is fully closed. Some inflatables have more than one zipper.
Any idea what I should be looking for next please? The easiest way to repair the head turning, I think it might just be a belt issue. The smell was at the transformer so I purchased a new transformer that is used on these santas matching transformer and plugged it in but still wont work, not sure if there is anything inside him that I can replace but will open his base up tonight and post a picture of the inside workings. JavaScript is disabled. Get started with the AusChristmasLighting Manual. Thanks Janelle. My Gemmy Singing, Dancing Santa won't spring up into standing position. Transformers do sometimes just die, Process of elimination especially if you are not technically minded is check the mechanical parts first, I would be checking the belt drive before opening the base personally.
