In order to encounter Glyde, the protagonist must go to the Mysterious Door room outside Snowdin with the four mushrooms , and move for at least two minutes. This encounter must happen before the fight with Papyrus and if the protagonist did not kill any fleeable monster in Snowdin, or Glyde does not appear. Otherwise, if at least one monster was killed in Snowdin, the encounter must happen before the date with Papyrus and before Snowdin's kill counter is exhausted at 16 kills.
