It's easy to become jaded in this job. I spend a lot of my time in some of the very best resorts in the world, and after a while, they can start to run together. So when an experience sticks with you long after it's over, you know it has to be something special. In the summer of , David and I set off on a road trip to cover the entire Baja peninsula. The resort opened in but a planned expansion was put on hold during the pandemic. When we visited, the resort was back to its efforts of opening new room towers, one of which is scheduled to open this year if it hasn't already. When we visited, the resort was intimate in size. In fact, it was the perfect resort size, if you ask me. I'm not super jazzed about the expansion, which will add more restaurants, bars, and a lazy river. I thought the vibe of the property was simply perfect as one of the best resorts in Los Cabos for adults and one of the best resorts in Los Cabos for families. But unfortunately it's not up to me. That said, I do not think the quality of the resort or the quality of the services will suffer with the expansion. It's just going to become more crowded.
